How soon before my trip should I arrange travel insurance?
Arrange travel insurance as soon as you book your trip. This will ensure you are covered for valid holiday cancellation claims.
Why take out an annual multi-trip travel insurance policy?
If you are intending to travel more than once a year, it may be more cost effective to take out an annual multi-trip travel insurance policy, which covers you for any number of journeys for the whole year. This also saves you the hassle of arranging cover each time you travel.
What's the maximum length of time I can be covered per trip?
For an annual multi-trip travel insurance policy, the standard trip limit is 31 days per trip. This can be extended to a maximum of 45 days upon payment
of an additional premium. For a single trip travel insurance policy, the maximum trip duration is 150 days.
My age will change during the policy period - will this affect my insurance cover?
Your age, for the purposes of this insurance, will be calculated from the date you take out your travel insurance policy, regardless of it changing during the period of cover.
Can I travel independently of the others named on the travel policy?
Adults can travel independently. However, children covered under the annual multi-trip family policy can travel without the adult named on the same travel insurance whilst travelling under the supervision of an adult who is responsible for their care for the length of the trip.
Can I amend my cover part way through my travel insurance policy?
Generally, you can amend your "single trip" travel insurance policy as long as you do so before you travel. You can amend your "annual multi-trip" travel insurance policy to accommodate your coming holiday. Please contact our customer services department on 0345 128 8008.

Our travel insurance policies provide 24-hour worldwide emergency medical assistance.
Are my holidays in the UK covered by my travel insurance?
Holidays within the UK are generally covered if they include pre-booked travel arrangements which you must pay for in advance.
Are my business trips covered by my travel insurance?
Our single-trip and multi-trip policies cover you while you are away from home on a business trip which is for managerial, clerical or other non-manual work, though not for business equipment.
